Cowboy Jack is a living legend in music circles. He was protege to Sun Studios founder Sam Phillips, writer and producer of numerous hits, and a close friend to legendary artists like Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash. I hung around with some of his friends when I lived in Nashville (including the never to be forgotten Bob "Roberto Bianco" White) but never met the man himself. Still, I know more about him than a lot of people I've known for years. Always a maverick, Jack did things his way - and was loved for it.
If you don't know who he is, do yourself a solid and read on -
