The Ethel Catherwood Story

written and illustrated by David Collier

1 comment:

  1. Ethel was my aunt by marriage. She was married to mu uncle, Byron Mitchell. She retained her looks right to the end... She was not fat or overweight or dowdy. When her cancer spread to leg, which doctors said would have to be amputated, she took her own life. I had a luncheon appointment with her that day. When I arrived, her house was surrounded by fire department and police vehicles... Her gold medal was given to another nephew, an opera or symphony singer back east... My father and Ethel were romantically involved after her divorce... There's more... but that's enough for now.
